Report of a single vehicle traffic accident on SH 36N near the Eastland County line. The driver reports that airbags did deploy but that he does not have serious injuries. EMS is responding with a 20-minute ETA.
Report of a large grass fire on CR 145. This will be near Blanket. Comanche and Sipe Springs Fire has been paged to the scene.

Units leaving the Comanche City limits report a large plume of smoke in the distance and have asked for Proctor Fire to respond as well.

Update 3:33 PM:The unit on the scene reported about 10 acres on fire with light to medium fuel moving at a moderate speed.
Update 3:55 PM:Fire units on the scene have transferred to a common frequency so that all responding fire units from Brown and Comanche counties can talk to each other. This frequency is difficult to hear on scanners. We are still listening for any updates and will update this post.
Update 4:13 PM:Command 135 reports 15 acres consumed, and the fire is contained at this time.
Report of a fight in progress at the Twisted J Bar at 2281 US377E South Loop. The report is that several people were fighting, and one person has a head injury from a beer bottle. Depuities are on scene, and EMS has been paged to stage nearby until the scene is secured.
Report of a brush pile burn that has became out of control in the 600 block of FM 3025. Erath and Huckabay Fire have been paged to the scene.

The unit on the scene reports about one quarter of an acre on fire.
SFD has been paged to the parking garage at 125 St. Felix Street for a report of five people that are stuck in an elevator. This is on the Tarleton campus.
Report of a one-vehicle rollover in the 800 block of CR 112. The report is that the vehicle went off a bridge into a creek. There is reported entrapment with injuries. First responders are en route.
Update 4:08 PM:Air medical has been called for availability. SFD will be responding for mutual aid.
Update 4:15 PM:Units on the scene report one vehicle in the creek upside down. They will be out investigating.
Update 4:19 PM:The unit reports that they have to secure the truck that is leaning against a tree while the patient is in the vehicle. Air Medical will launch from Fort Worth with a 40-minute ETA and will land at Huckaby School.
Update 4:21 PM:The unit on the scene reports that they have the door open to the vehicle and the patient is complaining of a broken arm and injuries to the head. The vehicle fell and estimated 10 to 15 feet.
Update 4:40 PM:CareFlite has been confirmed to continue to the landing zone.

Update 5:05 PM:The medic on the scene reports that they will be transporting the patient shortly.

At 2:12 p.m., responders were dispatched to a reported two-vehicle accident near Allspus convenience store and CR 351 in Dublin. On arrival, the Dublin unit found one vehicle involved and no traffic hazard, so incoming units were canceled. Medic 3 cleared without transporting anyone; no injuries were reported. DPS was notified, and a wrecker was called. End of call.
Update 2:19 PM:Dublin unit is on the scene and reports one vehicle involved, and there is no traffic hazard at this time. Incoming units can be cancled.

Erath County
Around 2:00 a.m. this morning, a motorcycle entered Erath County traveling at speeds in excess of 120 mph. Johnson County deputies pursued the Honda on US 67 as it passed through the community of Three-Way.
The pursuit entered Stephenville near the Hard Eight restaurant and continued along the South Loop. The motorcycle then turned onto South Graham Street and passed the Erath County Courthouse before continuing through town and onto SH 108 northbound.
The motorcycle ran out of gas near County Road 433, where a Johnson County deputy took the rider into custody. A wrecker was called for the motorcycle.

Report of a power outage. A transformer has blown in the 2300 block of Denman Street. According to Oncors' website, there are 3,667 customers affected, with a restore time estimated to be 2:00pm. Oncor crews are on the scene at this time.

EMS Medic 3 was dispatched to FM 8 to intercept a vehicle coming from Desdemona. The caller reported that a female infant was having seizures. Medic 3 intercepted the vehicle and transported the patient to the Lingleville football field to meet Air Evac 69, which had launched from Granbury. Lingleville Fire was dispatched to establish a landing zone.
A grass fire was reported on SH 36 north of Gustine, initially estimated at about one acre. Gustine, Comanche, and Proctor Fire responded. Crews later reported 3–4 acres burned; the fire was contained by 4:04 p.m., with units mopping up.
De Leon Fire was dispatched to CR 448 for a reported gas emergency, and Atmos Gas was notified. De Leon units 430 and 432 arrived at 7:54 p.m. A deputy later confirmed there was no emergency. A propane tank was being filled in the area. Atmos Gas was told to stand down.

Update 8:03 PM:The deputy on the scene reports that there is not a gas emergency. Homeowners were getting their propane tank filled. Atmos Gas has been asked to stand down.
A caller reported they had an unconscious child in a vehicle approaching Dublin on CR 322 and requested EMS to meet up with them. Erath Medic 3 intercepted the vehicle and transported one patient, accompanied by one rider, to Stephenville ER.
At 5:26 p.m. (Erath County)
Erath County reported a possible unauthorized controlled burn in the 1800 block of FM 847, near a residence. Erath and Harbin Fire were dispatched. By 5:31 p.m., a deputy at the scene reported that the owner was putting out the fire but had requested a fire truck. Erath Fire arrived at 5:39 p.m.
At 5:03 p.m., responders were dispatched to a one-vehicle crash on SH 220 near CR 452. The vehicle reportedly left the roadway after becoming airborne but did not roll and came to rest about three yards from the highway with its airbags deployed. Two passengers, including a 16-year-old, were reported in the vehicle. By 5:17 p.m., a unit on scene confirmed that everyone was able to get out, and Hico Unit’s arrival allowed Erath County responders to be canceled. At 5:31 p.m., DPS requested a wrecker. No injuries had been reported at that time.
Update 5:09 PM:Additional information states that the vehicle did become airborne but did not roll. The vehicle is reported to be about three yards from the highway. Responders are still en route.
Update 5:20 PM:The unit on the scene reports one vehicle off the roadway and that everyone is out. Hico unit on the scene has canceled Erath County.
Update 5:31 PM:DPS on the scene has asked for a wrecker to respond. Have not heard of any injuries at this time.
At 3:50 p.m., a two-vehicle accident was reported at East South Loop and FM 205 in Stephenville. Both vehicles had moderate damage, with no entrapment. Additional units were disregarded.
Around 2:00 p.m. today, dispatch received a report of a missing person on CR 456 north of Stephenville. The missing person was an adult male in his twenties with autism. Deputies responded and requested assistance from Erath County first responders. EMS was staged nearby in case they were needed. After an approximately 45-minute search, the man was located walking on SH 108 near CR 430. A deputy transported him back to his residence.
There was a report of a grass fire near the intersection of CR258 and CR259. Erath and Harbin Fire were paged to the location, and it was reported that it was a controlled burn. The fire was extinguished. A deputy did respond to the scene.
EMS was paged to CR519 for a report of a female that has fallen from a horse. The patient is complaining of head pain and blurry vision. Erath Medic 3 did transport one patient to Stephenville ER.
EMS was called to Art Briles Stadium at 935 North Wolfe Nursery Road for an ill person on the home field side. Erath EMS was asked to assist and responded for transport. Erath Medic 2 did transport one patient to the Stephenville ER.
Erath and Lingleville Fire was paged to a reported trash pit fire near FM 8 and CR 392, possibly involving tires. Lingleville units arrived at 11:15 am and found a burn pit nearly burned down. The landowner was working to extinguish it with a skid steer, and a deputy and fire marshal arrived on the scene. At 11:31 am Lingleville and Erath Fire cleared the scene; the fire was out.
A half-acre grass fire was reported in the 500 block of CR 277 in Comanche County. The Comanche, Energy, and Gustine fire departments were paged, and Mills County was notified. The first unit arrived at 11:03 a.m., and the fire was contained by 11:13 a.m., and incoming units were canceled.
Responders were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash in the 2700 block of West Washington. Both vehicles had minor damage, everyone was out, and incoming units were canceled.
A grass fire in Erath County was reported around 5:52 p.m. near CR188. Fire crews from Erath and Bluff Dale responded, with Selden asked to send a brush truck and a tanker requested. The fire covered about five acres, was moving slowly, and involved a medium fuel load. The address was later updated to the 1700 block of CR188. By 6:06 p.m., the fire was out, crews were mopping up, and incoming units were canceled.
Update 5:56 PM:The unit on the scene has asked for Selden Fire to send one brush truck.
Update 5:58 PM:A tanker has been requested to respond.
Update 6:00 PM:It is reported to be about 5 acres on fire with a medium fuel load and moving slowly. There is reported to be a skid steer on the property.
Update 6:05 PM:The updates address is in the 1700 block of CR188. The map has been updated.
Update 6:07 PM:This fire is reported to be out, and units are in mop-up. All incoming units have been canceled.
Stephenville firefighters responded to a possible fire in a fourth-floor laundry room at Heritage Hall on the TSU campus. Crews found nothing showing from outside, checked the fourth floor, and cleared the scene. The cause was reported as a burning clothes-dryer belt.
Responders were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash in the 4300 block of FM2247 in Comanche County. Comanche Fire was later told to stand down, a wrecker was called, and no injuries were reported.
Stephenville Fire responded to a report of a tree on a house in the 100 block of Fairway Drive. Engine 2 cleared without providing assistance after being unable to make contact.
Erath Fire put out several small roadside fires along US 281 south of Stephenville. Northbound traffic was temporarily stopped, then the roadway reopened.
Update 3:18 PM:The unit on the scene reports several spot fires along the roadway. Two units should be able to handle this. All northbound traffic has been stopped at this time. A deputy has been asked to respond for traffic control.
Update 3:19 PM:This fire is reported to be out. The deputy has been disregarded. The roadway is open.
EMS responded to a crash near Allsup’s on East South Loop involving an e-bike scooter. The rider reported a possible concussion and a cut to the face; no major injuries were reported.
Responders handled a two-vehicle crash at West Long and South Graham, with airbags deployed and moderate damage. Everyone was out of the vehicles; one driver had hit his head and requested an assessment but declined transport to the ER. The southbound lane was blocked, with traffic diverted through the city park.

A power outage is affecting 1,377 customers in Dublin, according to Oncor’s outage website. The outage is listed as equipment-related, with restoration estimated by 7:00 a.m.
Report of a single vehicle traffic accident on Interstate 20 at mile marker 366 in the westbound lane. A vehicle has reportedly hydroplaned and hit a guardrail. No injuries are reported. Erath and Huckabay Responders have been paged to the location.
At approximately 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, officers received a report of an erratic driver on Highway 6 traveling from Hico toward Dublin. The Toyota 4Runner was reportedly driving on the shoulder, entering the ditch at times, and weaving into oncoming traffic. Its speed was reported to range from 30 to 65 mph.
Officers planned a rolling PIT maneuver and pin stop near the Dublin city limits. They stopped the vehicle and detained a man and a woman. The man was transported to the Erath County Jail, and a deputy transported the woman to Stephenville ER and later to jail. A wrecker was called for the vehicle.
Update 2:19 PM:Unit on the reports that they can see several illegal brush piles and asked for a deputy to respond.

There are reports of two separate transformers that have blown. The first one is in the 2500 block of Robert J. Glassglow Loop, and the second is in the 600 block of Mockingbird Lane. SFD has responded to both of them.

Update 5:59 PM:SFD on the scene reports that a tree limb has fallen on a feeder line on one of these transformers. Oncor has been contacted.

Report of a traffic accident at the intersection of CR176 and CR475. The report is that a vehicle pulling a trailer has gone through a fence and that there is no one around the vehicle. Deputies are on the scene at this time.

At 6:18 a.m. this morning, a vehicle was reported to have crashed into a residence near the intersection of Liberty and Lacy Streets in Dublin. The initial report indicated that one person was in the vehicle and that it was smoking inside the residence.
Dublin Fire and Medic 3 were dispatched. Upon arrival, Medic 3 reported that a fire had started inside the residence. Dublin Fire quickly brought the fire under control. Medic 3 transported the driver to the Stephenville ER. No one was reported to be inside the residence at the time of the crash.

A white 2020 Chevrolet Silverado pickup with Texas license plate PZF-3460 was last seen in Gustine Texas, at 4:00 a.m. on September 24, 2026. If you see the vehicle, do not approach it. Call 911.

At approximately 3:00 a.m. this morning, a structure fire was reported in the 100 block of Blakeney Drive. Upon arrival, the Stephenville Fire Department reported a single-story residence with heavy flames coming from the garage. Later reports indicated fire coming through the roof.
Firefighters entered the residence and removed portions of the ceiling to access flames in the attic. All occupants were reported to be out of the home. The fire was later reported to be under control.
Erath Fire was requested to respond for mutual aid. Oncor was also requested to respond for live power lines that were on the ground in the backyard.
Update 11:04 PM:The Dublin unit on the scene reports that he was able to get the door open and the patient is out and that EMS will need to respond along with other units for traffic control.
Update 11:06 PM:Medic 3 on the scene reports one vehicle off the roadway with its wheels in the air.
Update 11:08 PM:Medic 3 reports that the patient is out of the vehicle and that they have a walking wounded.

At 3:07 am this morning, the Erath, Selden, and Hico Fire Departments, along with Hico EMS, were paged to the scene of a major three-vehicle traffic accident in the 28,000 block of US 67 North near Three-Way.
The roadway was reported to be completely blocked. No entrapment was initially reported. The initial report indicated multiple injuries, including one male who was unconscious. CPR was being performed on one of the patients.
Air Evac was initially requested to launch, but the flight was canceled. Air Evac was later requested to relaunch to the scene, and a landing zone was established in the roadway.
EMS Med 2 did transport one patient to the Stephenville ER.
As of this post at 6:00 AM, traffic in the area remains slowed, with fire units still on the scene providing traffic control. The deputy has cleared the scene, but DPS remains on location conducting the investigation.

Palo Pinto County authorities attempted to stop a silver 2020 BMW four-door that had been reported stolen out of Georgia. The vehicle failed to stop, and a pursuit began.
The vehicle turned onto SH108, heading south into Erath County. Palo Pinto County authorities were able to stop the vehicle near CR122.

Update 2:01 PM:There are reports that smoke can be seen from Desdomoa.

Update 2:41 PM:Command 800 reports that forward progress has been stopped on the fire and units will be in mop-up.

Dispatch received a call reporting a wrong-way driver on US 377 between Stephenville and Dublin. The vehicle was reportedly traveling northbound in the southbound lane toward Stephenville.
An Erath County deputy was quickly able to get behind the suspect vehicle and conduct a traffic stop near AgTexas, just outside Stephenville. The deputy reported that the driver nearly caused an accident directly in front of him before the stop was made.
The male driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated. The driver did have a prior arrest for DWI.
A wrecker was called for the suspect's vehicle.
Update 9:58 PM:The deputy on the scene reports that there were several livestock that were hit, and a few of them needed to be dispatched, and that the landowner has given permission to do so.

Report of a traffic accident at the intersection of Loop 267 and SH 6 near Dublin. This accident is reported to be under the bridge. Responders are en route. The initial report is that a male subject could have head trauma.
Report of a grass fire in the 200 block of CR 382 near Lamkin. This fire has been reported due to a lightning strike. Gustine and Energy Fire have been paged to the location.
Fire units are on the scene of a grass fire in the 300 block of CR 343. The unit on the scene reports about five acres with hay bales on fire with structures that are threatened.

Report of a one vehicle traffic accident in the 2200 block of SH 16 north of Comanche. Airbags are reported to have deployed. First responders are en route.
Update 8:41 PM:Unit 437 on the scene reports that it looks like the vehicle hit a hog. The driver is out and walking around and has a few scratches. No reported road blockage.

Report of a traffic accident in the 29,000 block of FM 219 north of Dublin. This is reported to be a vehicle vs a tree. Erath and Lingleville responders are en route.
Update 5:38 PM:Lingleville unit 7301 is on the scene. Reports no injuries and very little damage to the vehicle. Erath responders has been disregarded.
Report of a trailer home that is on fire in the 500 block of CR 464. The initial report is that everyone is out of the home. Erath, Morgan Mill, and Lipan Fire are en route.
There is a report on a vehicle fire and a grass fire in the 34,000 block of US 281N. This is reported to be near Brians Place. Fire units are en route.
Dublin Fire is on the scene in the 100 block of Shannon Street in Dublin. It is reported that a transformer has blown. There was a resulting grass fire that is now reported to be under control. Oncor has been notified to respond. The Oncor outage map states that there are 12 customers affected, with repair date estimated to be 6:30 p.m.

Delayed Post (Erath County)
At approximately 10:00 a.m. this morning, a Dublin Police officer located three individuals in the 100 block of West Travis Street. During the encounter, one of the individuals reportedly fled on foot.
Following a foot pursuit, the individual was located and detained near the Dairy Queen on Patrick Street.
All three individuals were taken into custody and held on ICE detainers.
Report of a single-vehicle traffic accident on SH 36 near FM 1702. This is reported to be a vehicle vs a pole. Possible injures are reported. The vehicle is reported to be off the roadway. First responders are en route.
Update 12:52 PM:The RV is reported to be on the road and was traveling when the fire started.
Update 12:57 PM:Unit 435 on the scene reports a fully engulfed RV and that the fire is not in the grass.
Update 1:07 PM:It is reported that the fire now has made it to the brush. There is a residence nearby that is needing to be evacuated. A deputy has been asked to respond.

Delayed Post
Dublin PD was dispatched to a location on Thomas Street in Dublin for a report of an elderly woman who was lying on the ground. The caller reported that the woman was not breathing.
EMS responded to the scene, but sadly, the woman was unresponsive to treatment. The Justice of the Peace and a funeral home were requested to respond to the scene. No foul play has been mentioned.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and loved ones during this difficult time.

Update 4:09 PM:The unit on the scene reports it looks like all occupants are out and that all of the cars are in the bar ditch. There is reported debris in the roadway.
Update 4:11 PM:This is sounding like this could be two separate accidents near each other. The unit reports that there are no injuries. This accident is near the Equine Center.
Update 4:17 PM:The unit on the scene has asked to hold traffic so that he can blow the debris off the highway.

This is recorded scanner traffic that occurred this afternoon while I was away from the scanner. This grass fire started around 3:00 pm
There was a report of a grass fire on SH-220 near CR-218.
Erath, Selden, Somervell, Iredell, Dublin, Hico, and Harbin fire departments were paged to the location, and EMS was asked to stage nearby. A helicopter and drones were also requested to assist. The City of Hico was asked to bring a dozer to the scene.
The first unit arriving reported two separate fire fronts, with approximately 10 to 15 acres burning and the fire attempting to spread into the trees. The Texas A&M Forest Service was contacted for air support due to the speed at which the fire was spreading.
A deputy was asked to clear nearby homes, and residents in the area were asked to evacuate. One structure was reported to be fully involved, with additional structures in danger.
Later, Command 800 reported that the fire had been contained and was no longer growing; however, the fire was not yet out.
At the time of this post, the Texas A&M Forest Service website reports the fire is 80% contained as of 8:03 p.m with 14 acres affected.
Several fire units have since cleared the scene and returned to their stations. Fire units are reported to be running shifts throughout the night to keep eyes on the fire in case of flare-ups.

Sadly, around 8:00 am this morning there was a fatal two-vehicle traffic accident in the 23000 block of US 377 between Stephenville and Bluff Dale. The initial report indicated that a subject was thrown from a vehicle. The unit arriving on the scene reported two vehicles with heavy damage. One patient needed to be extracted. Air Medical was placed on standby and later launched for this female patient. Med One transported one patient to the Stephenville ER. The Justice of the Peace and a rotational funeral home were called to the scene. The roadway was completely blocked, and traffic was diverted through FM 1188. Prayers

There was a report of a grass fire in the 2400 block of CR516. This fire was reported to have been started by a welder. Dublin, Erath and Harbin Fire were paged to the location, and Harbin Unit 242 arriving on the scene reported one half acre on fire. The fire was put out, and a burn-ban citation was issued.

A vehicle was reported to hit a cow in the 9300 block of US377/67. Airbags were reported to have deployed. There were no reports of human injuries, and EMS One did leave the scene with no transport. The cow not so much.

The first unit on arrival reported two vehicles with major damage; one was off the roadway. Two patients were involved. Medic 2 transported one patient to Stephenville ER, and Medic 1 transported the other patient to Stephenville ER. Air medical was placed on standby but was later canceled. Wreckers were called.

There was a report of a two-vehicle traffic accident in the 6811 US377S. Between Stephenville and Dublin. A caller reported that they had rear-ended another vehicle. This was in the northbound lane. The unit arriving on the scene reported that one vehicle was on the shoulder and the other was in the median. Erath Medic Two did transport two patients to Stephenville ER reported as routine traffic.

There was a report of a one-vehicle rollover on SH108 near CR116. The initial call stated that there was entrapment. The driver was alert and talking but could not get out. The unit arriving on the scene reported the vehicle on its side in a ditch. The driver was extracted from the vehicle and transported to Stephenville ER.
